MJ (Mary Jeane) has spent most of her life living up the Coast in rural Tikitiki on her whanau farm. She joined Taiao Connect Limited in late 2019 and has been the Project Manager for the Mana Waiapu – Waiapu River Restoration Project, a hapu-based initiative between both Te Riu o Waiapu and Te Wiwi Naati hapu / marae clusters.

 

She has a strong background in Project Management, Agriculture, and Iwi Administration.

 

After graduating from the University of Waikato, she worked for a few organisations such as Matapuna Training Centre, AgITO (predecessor of Primary ITO), Leader Brand, and almost 14 years for Iwi radio at Radio Ngati Porou.

 

MJ also serves on a few Whenua Maori trusts in and around Tikitiki.
